The Village Festa excursion provides a cultural, religious, historical and entertaining combination. Every town and village in Malta celebrates the festa in honour of the village’s patron saint. The festive weekend offers a range of attractions: elaborately decorated churches and streets, brass bands playing cheerful music, fireworks while nougat and other food specialities are served in stalls. The culmination is reached when the titular statue is taken around the village in a procession and a finale of aerial fireworks brings the feast to the end.
