Xatt l-Ahmar is a popular swimming space in Gozo, having ideal conditions for snorkelling off the rocks

Xatt l-Ahmar Bay meaning "The Red Bay" is a secluded rocky beach located within the limits of Ghajnsielem in Gozo. Xatt l-Ahmar Bay got its name from the reddish brown colour of the soil of the terraced fields falling towards the bay. Xatt l-Ahmar Bay is a popular bay with Gozitans and has many lovely swimming spots off the rocks. and is accessed by a bumpy road. Excellent for snorkelling.
