St. Nicholas Bay

St. Nicholas Bay in Comino is ideal for spending a relaxing day in beautiful waters

St. Nicholas Bay is a pretty beach with beautiful crystal clear waters excellent for snorkelling. The bay consists of two small sandy beaches that may be reserved for the Comino Hotel guests in summer, but it’s worth having a swim at due to its stunning, family friendly waters. St. Nicholas Bay is a popular beach offering many water activities, but less crowded than The Blue Lagoon and therefore more tranquil. Comino and St. Nicholas Bay are also well worth a visit during the winter months for lovely country walks and nature observations.

Getting to St. Nicholas Bay:

St. Nichola's Bay is about a 20min walk away from the Blue Lagoon.

Catch a bus heading to Cirkewwa and ask the driver to drop you at the stop for the Comino ferry that departs from Marfa. Once you get off the bus, you have a 2 min walk to the pier, which is right opposite the Riviera hotel. Once there, take a small water taxi for €10 return. You can also take one of the small ferries just by the Gozo ferries, then stop at the last bus stop. Larger tourist vessels depart from Sliema Strand and Bugibba and go directly to the Blue Lagoon. You could also rent a boat if you would like to explore all Comino and not just the bay.

a bit more secluded than blue lagoon, with fewer tourists and a nice intimate atmosphere
