Sale e Pepe Trattoria is an Italian style restaurant located within Portomaso Yacht Marina Complex in St. Julian’s, Malta. It is worth visiting this place even for the views alone; you and your family can enjoy a nice meal indoors on the terrace with fabulous views over the yacht marina.

The interior is simple and rustic - decorated with hand painted ceramic plates and tables, terracotta tiles and comfortable wooden chairs. Sale e Pepe restaurant only has around 40 covers on the terrace ensuring a private and a cosy dining experience and 75 covers inside which is air-conditioned during summer months.

Sale e Pepe Restaurant serves Italian and Mediterranean cuisine and the menu include popular and traditional dishes such as fresh fish, homemade pasta, meat and specials of the day. A brilliant lunch idea could include the marinated beef Carpaccio with rocket leaves and parmesan shavings followed by a supmtuous plate of Rigatoni alla Burina - with sausage, mascarpone, mushrooms and parmesan cheese. There are many pasta dishes to choose from, the traditional Italian Pasta Carbonara is truly divine.

For a more sophisticated dinner you could choose the "Steamed mussles and clams served with white wine, garlic and fresh tomato sauce" as a starter and a "pork cotoletta alla Milanese served with rocket and cherry tomatoes” as a main. If you love fish, try the delicious Fillet of Salmon cooked in olive oil and thyme in a potato crust and grilled vegetables. The speciality of the house is Chicken casserole alla Romana - cooked with garlic, rosemary, vinegar and white wine.

Recently, Sale e Pepe has been awarded the certification "Marchio di Ospitalita Italiana" among the Quality Approved Italian Restaurants project in Malta.

Children of all ages are accepted and highchairs are also provided. When dining at the Sale e Pepe, you'll have 2 hours of free parking at the Portomaso car park (go to level -3 for direct access to the restaurant).
