Hamrun Parish Church Immaculate Conception of Mary

The need of a church between Hamrun and Gwardamangia was deeply felt after the Second World War and thanks to the hard work of Fr Edgar Vella; the present church dedicated to the Immaculate Conception of Mary was built. Soon after its opening to workship, it became the parish church of Hamrun in 1968.

Hamrun Parish Church - St. Cajetan

This parish church of Hamrun is dedicated to St. Cajetan of Thiene and was built in 1875 as the two smaller churches in Hamrun were too small to be parish churches when Hamrun was made a parish.  The Parish Church of St. Cajetan of Thiene became the official parish church of Hamrun in 1881.
