Gharghur Parish Church

The History of Gharghur Parish Church

The Parish Church of Gharghur is dedicated to the Apostle St. Bartholomew and was built in 1610 and consecrated by Bishop Alpheran de Bussan on 22nd April 1736. It was however Bishop Gargallo that elevated Gharghur to the dignity of a parish in 1610.
