Guesthouses in Malta usually have similar facilities to hotels, but are usually smaller in size, and therefore less crowded. There are a number of guesthouses scattered around Malta and Gozo.

There are several apartments across Malta and Gozo, ranging from studios to three or more bedrooms, usually having their own kitchen, living areas, and sometimes balconies or terraces. Apartments are more convenient for those who prefer more space and the opportunity to prepare their own food.

There are very few campsites in Malta, but camping is still a popular activity, some prefer to go to a campsite and use all the facilities available, while others prefer to live in the wild, camp in the countryside and make the best of the facilities that nature offers.
