In Guardia Parade is a popular event that attracts visitors who wish to learn more about Malta's history. It is held in beautiful capital city of Malta, Valletta, and is a re-enactment that shows an historical event that used to took place inside Fort St. Elmo from time to time.

During the re-enactment, you will take a step back in time and watch the inspections of Fort St. Elmo and its garrison by the Grand Bailiff of the Knights of St. John, who was in charge of military affairs. Over 70 re-enactors will be dressed as solders and knights in their finest uniforms and also perform a military drill to demonstrate state of readiness of the garrison. 

The In Guardia Parade is also a perfect opportunity to visit the Fort. It will be open only before the show, so we recommend that you arrive early to have enough time to discover this historical fort.
