Atturi Salesjani Sliema are proud to present this challenging play for the first time in Maltese, on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th May. The script, written by Dale Wasserman was translated to Maltese by Natasha Turner. The script for One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest is an adaptation of the famous film starring Jack Nicholson in the leading role.

Since the subject of this play deals with mental issues, Atturi Salesjani joined forces with Richmond Foundation to create more awareness on mental health. Richmond Foundation is an organisation which works closely with those who suffer from mental illnesses.

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest takes us to a mental institution in Oregon, United States of America, where a group of men who suffer from different types of mental problems and controlled with an iron hand by Nurse Ratched, is taken totally unawares by a new patient Randall McMurphy who is determined to break the system in the institution. At first the patients react positively to Randall’s ideas and new way of life but Ratched, together with her faithful Dr. Spivey, threatens and dominates them back under her control with tragic consequences to McMurphy.
