Penelope: Dust of Our Awakened Dreams

Dance and theatre in one incredible performance

Athanasia Kanellopoulou is an internationally famous Greek performance artist who, in collaboration with Rubberbodies - Malta's innovative art troupe, will hold an incredible dance-theatre event called 'Penelope: Dust of our awakened dreams'.

Experience a world that lies somwhere in between a tragedy and a fairytale, featuring creative soundscapes by Mario Sammut and artistic innovations by the visual artist Matthew Pandolfino. Directed by Jimmy Grima, this performance exposes human emotions hidden within the dancer's body. Through the dances, Athanasia will lead you on a journey through her past and present, where restless memories buried in her female soul are brought forward and given a final hearing.

This event will be premiered at the MITP Theatre, in Valletta on the 2nd March, 2012 and will run on the 3rd, 4th, 9th, 10th and 11th March.
