Go back and time and witness the inspection of St. John’s Cavalier and it's garrisonIn Guardia Parade is a very popular re-enactment that attracts visitors who want to discover the Maltese history in a more lively and interesting way. The In Guardia Parade is a perfect event for the whole family since it portrays history not only in a fun but it is also only 45 min long The In Guardia Parade re-enactment has moved from Fort St. Elmo and is now held in St. John's Cavalier in Birgu (Vittoriosa). During the re-enactment, you will go back in time to watch the inspection of the St. John’s Cavalier in the town of Birgu and its garrison by the Grand Bailiff of the Order of the Knights of St. John in charge of military affairs. During In Guardia Parade around 55 re-enactors will be dressed in their finest uniforms as solders as they perform a military drill to show their readiness to act in case of a military threat. This is a unique experience that should not be missed during your holiday in Malta. Apart from the re-enactment you will also have the chance to visit part of the fort before the show so arriving early is recommended.
