Labour Day

Celebrate Labour day with the rest of the world!

Labour Day is celebrated annually all over the world, recognising the economic and social achievements that workers have manged throughout the centuries. Also known as May Day or International Workers' Day, the 1st of May is also a public holiday in Malta and Gozo. Activities to commemorate Labour Day take place around Valletta.

The date also coincides with the religious feast of St Joseph the Worker celebrated in the town of Birkirkara.
