Visit the Mosta Dome during the feast of the Assumption of Our Lady

The Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady is celebrated in Mosta every year on the 15th of August. The week prior to the festa fills Mosta with a great festive atmosphere, as brass bands play cheerful marches along the streets every evening, accompanied by spectacular ground and aerial fireworks. All this time the town is completely decorated in colourful lights, drapes, statues and festoons. The famous Mosta Dome is completely decorated with luxurious lights and beautiful floral arrangements. 

The festa reaches its culmination on the day of the feast of the Assumption of Our Lady. Apart from religious funtions inside the church, there is also a procession around Mosta with the titular statue followed by brass bands and a crowd of devotees. Festas are vibrant features of the Maltese culture, presenting a truly magical experience for you to immerse yourself in.
