The Arab Spring - a revolution that was.

Witness the Libyan revolution in a photo exhibition

After long decades of oppression and dictatorship, Libyans embarked on a life-changing revolution in 2011, grabbing the attention of the world media. The uprising was documented in several photos and videos – which will be showcased in a multimedia exhibition organised by the European Parliament at St James Cavalier in Valletta.

The exhibition shows images that range from protests, visits by diplomats and politicians as well as the evacuations of foreigners from war zones. Although the Arab Spring affected many different countries, Libya is the main feature of the exhibition.

The exhibition runs until March 17, 2012 open to the public from 09:00 - 17:00 Mondays and Tuesdays, 09:00 - 21:00 Wednesdays to Fridays and 10:00 - 21:00 on Saturdays and Sundays.
