MPO Concert Series: Flavours of Italy

Enjoy a classical concert with one of Italy's leading conductors

The fantastic Malta Philharmonic Orchestra’s concert Flavours of Italy will feature none other than one of Italy’s leading conductors, Silvia Massarelli. Silvia will celebrate her home country during this concert and will start the evening with works of one of the most popular composers of the 19th century.

We will see Semiramide, one of Rossini’s most elaborate overtures, based on themes from the opera proper as well as Anthony Sydney who is a contemporary Italo-American composer. We all know soloist Lucia Clementi who has joined the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra several times.
