The Kitchen Restaurant is a family run business owned by the international award-winning Chef Mark Gauci and his partner Nadja, located on the most beautiful promenade in Malta, the Sliema seafront. Its location attracts guest who want to get away from busy St. Julian’s and dine somewhere more discreet but also tourists walking along the lovely promenade.
The restaurant's décor is minimalist and contemporary yet comfortable. The Kitchen restaurant has only 50 covers to ensure privacy and guarantee an attentive service to make your visit unique. The Kitchen Restaurant has an interesting menu with a balance of familiar food mixes with more experimental ingredients such as duck breast with pear glazing.
The menu also boosts dishes such as the red prawn and salmon fillets with a coconut fish sauce or the penne tossed in a homemade pesto of globe artichokes, walnuts, garlic, chilli and Grana Padano. Chef’s recommendations are clearly marked on the menu and friendly Nadja is always more than happy to suggest according to individual tastes. The menu also contains vegetarian and gluten free dishes which is a plus. The desserts are also made with a twist such as The Belgian chocolate truffle cake served with vanilla sauce.
