Ta’ Mena Estate - Agritourism

Pick strawberries and taste Gozitan food

Ta’ Mena Estate was one of the first agritourism centres in Malta, established in the early 1970s, that started out by inviting people to pick their own fruit and vegetables. The Ta’ Mena Estate has grown largely since then and now offers a whole experience when visiting where guests can taste typical food and wine from Malta and Gozo while getting in touch with the nature.

Ta’ Mena Estate is set within the beautiful and tranquil countryside in Marsalforn Valley and there, they grow their own strawberries, melons, tomatoes and many other fruits and vegetables. Apart from this, Ta’ Mena Estate has over 10 hectares of vineyards and a large olive grove allowing a fantastic wine and extra virgin olive oil produce.

Here you can enjoy the good food and relax under an olive tree, while escaping the sun. Local produce, such as the famous Gozo Honey are an ideal gift to take back home with you.
A few of the activities that can be organized at Ta’ Mena include:

  • Guided tours around the estate followed by wine and food tastings;
  • Fruit picking according to season: eg. strawberry picking, grape harvest, olive harvest;
  • Cooking sessions of traditional dishes (minimum 10 persons);
  • Barbeque evenings (minimum 10 persons);
  • Group functions and celebrations

Visit their website now for a full list and details of all the activities offered at Ta’ Mena Estate!

    We visited Ta Mena Estate during our holiday in Malta and we had a great time. Coming from Germany we enjoyed the ripe and sweet fruits.
