Gozo - Għajnsielem Parish Church

A brief history of Għajnsielem parish church

The Ghajnsielem parish church was built in 1820 and it is still the original church we see today. Ghajnsielem's parish church was built  in honour of Our Lady of Loreto and became a parish church on 26 January 1855. However, since then a new parsish church has been built in a Gothic style architecture. The new parish church of Ghajnsielem was consecrated on 18 August 1989 and on 3 September 1965, the parish became Archipresbyteral. If you are visiting the lovely island of Gozo, stop by this cute Gozitan village.
