The Bank of Valletta Boat Show 2011 held at the Grand Hotel Excelsior

The 5th Edition of the Bank of Valletta Boat show was held between the 15th 18th  of September 2011 and was a spectacular 3 day event held at the Grand Hotel Excelsior in Floriana. The annual Bank of Valletta Boat show is considered to be the largest gathering for boating lovers, dealers and basically anyone with a passion or an interest for sea craft.

This luxurious event was held at the Grand Hotel Excelsior due to its perfectly sheltered and dedicated marina which proved to be excellent for this show. Guest were able to walk along the marina, admire and visit the spectacular yachts and sailing boats while enjoying fantastic views of Marsamxett Harbour and Manoel Island.

The Fairline Targa 44 Gran Turismo was on display during the Bank of Valletta Boat Show 2011 as well as the GT and the award-winning Jeanneau 53. The European Yacht of the Year 2011, the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 409 was also on display and attracted several curious people. This boat is a 40-foot yacht designed by Philippe Briand having a stylish interior that falls between modernism and classic, very comfortable, offering good living on board. All this was demonstrated to the interested visitors.

The Bank of Valletta Boat Show 2011 was a premier show raising awareness about boats in the Maltese Islands and also providing a perfect opportunity for Maltese industries to interact. The Boat Show also incorporated three great nights of networking, fashion shows and other exciting activities accompanied with good wine and delicious treats.

3,000 guests were invited each night and the gala events that were held on Saturday and Sunday were hosted by BOV as the main sponsor as well as all participating exhibitors together with Network Publications. This year’s exhibitors were to mention a few Sunseeker, BJ Marine, MSV Life, Fairline, Jeanneau and S&D Yacht.
