Carnival in Malta 2012, spectacular shows and a lot of fun

The very popular annual carnival in Malta is is back with 5 days of festive and colorful celebrations in several locations around Malta. The carnival celebrations in the Maltese Islands date back hundreds of years and is not just as popular in the sister island Gozo.

The largest celebratiosn take place in Valletta, Floriana and of course Nadur in Gozo and hundreds of people join the explosion of colors, costumes and celebrations. Join and experience the decorated floats and all weird and funny costumes that you can imagine.

The Malta Council for Culture and the Arts will be organizing a 5 day carnival train in the streets of Valletta , however some of the events will be held inside and a small entrance fee is asked for. On the last day of the carnival in Malta, large celebrations will be held in the main street of Floriana with beautiful firework shows.
