Feast of Our Lady of Victories

Visit Naxxar and enjoy great celebrations

The Feast of Our Lady of Victories is celebrated annually in the town of Naxxar in Malta. For several days, the town enjoys a festive mood, as it is fully decorated in vibrant lights, statues and other street decorations. The Parish Church is also decorated in luxurious lights, damasc and carpets, creating an ideal atmosphere for religious functions happening in these days. Brass band marches are happening every evening on the days prior to the festa, accompanied by traditional fireworks, toghether with the nougat and ice-cream stalls distributed around the village.

On the day of the feast of  Our Lady of Victories, there is a procession around Naxxar with the titular statue of the town followed by brass bands and a crowd of devotees. Fireworks take the atmosphere to another level, with a lenghty display closing the festa as the statue is returned back to the Parish Church.
