Madama Butterfly

Puccini's Madama Butterfly brought to you in style

Teatru Astra have the pleasure to announce that this year's opera production features Giacomo Puccini's "Madama Butterfly". The opera will open the 11th edition of the annual cultural festival in Gozo - which highlights the cultural features of the island - opera, music, history, archeology, trades and traditions. 

The Madama Butterfly is a great opera that will feature the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, the Teatru Astra Opera Chorus and singers who are famous internationally. This is a full blown opera including actors, costumes, scenery and props. Madama Butterfly is not an opera done in concert version.

The opera is held on the 25th and 27th October and starts at 19:30hrs on both dates.
