EVENT DESCRIPTION:
The third solo art exhibition entitled, Celebrating Food and Art by the young Maltese artist Anton Abela is on from 8 December 2009 to 8 February 2010 at the Nuvo Art and Dine, 104 Triq Iz-Zonqor, Marsascala.
Open Tuesday to Saturday from 1900hrs - 2300hrs and Sunday 1200hrs – 1500hrs. Entrance to the exhibition is free.
Anton Abela’s innovative technique evoked large interest locally and abroad, and this exhibition continues on those lines while presenting also new works. Anton is a Bachelor of Arts degree graduate in History of Art, and his interests include Medieval Art, focusing on Icons: Byzantine, Greek Orthodox and Russian. He is affiliated with the Royal Academy of Arts, London; as well as being a member of the Tate Modern, London; and of the Institute of Contemporary Art, London; locally he is a member of the Malta Society of Arts, Manufacture and Commerce. |
