Marsa became a parish in 1913 and the holy trinity parish church was built by Lorenzo Balbi and his wife not long after that.

Marsa, Queenship of Mary Church

The parish church of Marsa was built soon after the Second World War so that the people of Marsa would have a place for prayers. The church was built on the outskirts of the parish and was originally dedicated to to Our Lady of Tears, however later on it was dedicated to the Queenship of Our Lady.
