Manikata Parish Church

History of Manikata Parish Church

The architecture of the parish church in Manikata is inspired by the “girna” which can be se in the local fields. A “girna” is a small stone building used by farmers to store their tools and seek shelter from the sun. The small village of Manikata became a parish in 1975.
