Mattia Preti - Faith and Humanity

Admire beautiful baroque art

Visit the Grandmasters Palace in Valletta and admire this fantastic exhibition about famous baroque artist Mattia Preti. This exhebition is presented by the Heritage Malta's National Museum of Fine Arts and Italy's Museo Civico di Taverna and is a perfect event in Malta for art lovers.

The Mattia Preti – Faith and Humanity exhibition will not only be held in Malta but also in Taverna, the artist home city to mark the 400 years of the artist's birth.

Mattia Preti also spent 40 years in Malta and during this time he transformed the interior of St John's Co-Cathedral in Valletta with a series of paintings on the life and martyrdom of St. John the Baptist.

Mattia Preti – Faith and Humanity will feature prestigious loans from top European museums and institutions, such as the Spanish Museo Nacional del Prado, the Louvre and the Uffizi.
